Business Contracts and Agreements
Contract drafting, contract review, and contract enforcement and dispute resolution
Contract Drafting
You need a contract for your small business. Addressing the legal issues that impact your business is important to you, and you want to put the proper protections in place. Ideally, you would prefer a contract that you understand, reflects your business philosophy, and protects your core business needs.
Lenz Law works closely with small businesses to create tailored contracts that provide optimal legal protection, control over your business relationships, and certainty when conflicts arise.
How the Contract Drafting Process Works
Because every business is different, we will get to know your main concerns and business goals. With this information, we’ll create a tailored contract that addresses the issues that matter most to you, coupled with added protections that give you control and added security.
Legal Tip:
Contracts provide safety and certainty by defining the parameters of your relationships with business partners. While many people think contracts exist because of and for lawyers, good contracts give you the power to do business on your terms and to protect yourself from business conflicts and uncertainty. How? A good contract makes it crystal clear what each party is agreeing to, holds each party accountable, and lays out what happens if someone breaks their promises.
We have experience and expertise drafting contracts for various industries. From contracts for small LLCs hiring their first workers, to preparing international distribution agreements for multinational companies.

Contract Review
You have a contract. You’ve read it. But you are not comfortable signing it. You don’t want to agree to anything that could hurt you.
Whether you’re contracting for a single project or entering into a long-term business relationship, understanding and negotiating a contract at the start is 100x better than trying to fix something once it goes wrong.
While many people do sign contracts without knowing what they are agreeing to, this practice takes power out of your hands and puts you at risk. You should know exactly what you are getting in return for what you are giving up.
What we will do for you.
You’ll know exactly what you are signing and have the knowledge to make the right decision for yourself. No one will be pulling a fast one on you! Specifically, we’ll will explain all legalese in plain English, alert you to concerning language and suggest modifications, and answer all your lingering questions.
If you’d like support in re-negotiating a contract, we can do that as well. We know how to negotiate without harming relationships. While you should always ask for what you deserve, we don’t believe in using intimidation techniques that jeopardize business relationships. Instead, we use constructive negotiation techniques that foster lasting relationships. If we have to bring out the armory, we can do that, but there’s no need to go scorch earth from the start.
Contract Enforcement & Dispute Resolution
Help When Business Doesn’t Go As Planned.
Unfortunately, business relationships don’t always go as planned. At best, disputes are a time sink, at worst, business disputes jeopardize your livelihood. If you need help resolving a misunderstanding or highly distressing dispute with a partner, employee, or other party, we can assist you in resolving the matter efficiently. If you need a contract enforced, we will review the contract, explain any ambiguous terms, and make a plan to resolve the matter.
Sometimes we can resolve disputes with minimal intervention, other times more assertive action is required to get a fair resolution. Whatever your situation, we will listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and use the law and negotiation techniques to resolve your problem.
